Chinese tech giant Tencent is set to bring a “Lite” version of its popular online game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) and it is finally making its way to India. Talking about the availability, PUBG Lite has so far been available in a total of 15 countries after the first beta kicked off in Thailand earlier this year, with Brazil and Turkey being the most recent countries where the beta went live on May 23.
The official PUBG Lite Facebook page has confirmed that the game is coming soon to India, and the release date may be June 13, 2019.
Tencent developed PUBG Lite for low-end hardware. It is a toned down version of the original version. The makers of PUBG have been working on a lighter version of the game for a while under the title of PUBG LITE. The Lite’ version solves a major issue with the original PC version it offers the same PUBG experience for low-end PCs. PUBG LITE is essentially offering similar gameplay to PUBG but with optimised graphics.
PUBG Lite is targeted at gamers who don't have a higher end gaming PC but still want to enjoy the game on a modest PC hardware.
