Google announced a range of products including the new completely wire-free Pixel Buds, new Nest Mini and Nest Wi-Fi devices, and of course the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones.  the company just announced the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL at its hardware event in New York City.

The Google Pixel 4 series ships with Android 10 out of the box, and promises software and security updates for three years.

On the camera segment, the Pixel 4 series both pixel 4 and pixel 4XL features a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) with a 12.2-megapixel secondary camera (f/1.7 aperture, 77-degree field of view) at the back. It has an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear cameras support 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at up to 120fps, while the front camera supports 1080p video at 30fps.

The Pixel 4 comes with a 2,800mAh battery, whereas the Pixel 4 XL has a 3,700mAh battery. Both phones ship with an 18W fast charging adapter in the box and have a USB Type-C port. The box includes a USB Type-C to Type-C cable too. The two phones have a Nano-SIM slot, along with support for an eSIM in case you need dual-SIM connectivity.

Price and Color Option :

The Pixel 4 comes in three new colors: white, black, and a limited-edition orange option. It goes up for preorder today, and it will ship on October 24th. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will be sold by every major US carrier. The regular Pixel 4 starts at $799 (Rs.57,100) and the Pixel 4 XL starts at $899 (Rs. 64,200)

Other Features:

Google has housed a number of sensors that enable two new features. One is Google’s own face unlock system, which is the company’s answer to Apple’s Face ID. The other is a new interaction method called Motion Sense. This allows the Pixel 4 to be controlled with hand gestures — no touching the phone required. Motion Sense utilizes Google’s Project Soli technology. With Motion Sense, you can do things like control music or dismiss an incoming call with a wave of your hand near the phone’s display. Motion Sense processing happens locally on device, and Google noted that the feature can be disabled at any time.

The smartphone also features a new voice recorder app that transcribes audio recordings even when the Pixel 4 is in airplane mode. As of now English is the only language supported.

In terms of sensors, the Pixel 4 series features Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, 5GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and 2x2 MIMO support. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0 + LE (along with AptX, AptX HD, LDAC codecs). It features NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Google Cast too.

Pixel Not coming to India :

Pixel 4 devices aren't coming to India notably because the new Soli sensor - a radar that can detect hand gestures and improves on the in-built face unlock feature - uses 60GHz mmWave frequency which is currently not allowed for civilian use in India, as per the country's regulations.Pixel fans took over to Twitter and reached out to the Google chief Sundar Pichai directly to express their disappointment over the news.
